Students of ninth grade biology teacher Heather Partsch have been given an extra credit assignment to create cell themed Christmas ornaments. Any of her student’s willing to participate in the project will be given 10 extra credit points as well as the recognition of having their ornament on the tree. Ornaments will stay on the tree until it is taken down after Christmas.

“It’s nice around the holidays to allow students to have a fun project, while also being able to tie it in with science,” Partsch said

This project showcases the creativity of the teachers and students. Many students have been extremely ingenuitive with the designs of their ornaments; some students are even suspending things in liquid in order to give the appearance of organelles within the cell ornaments.
