This year the student council decided to do something that could make others’ day bright, and they thought creating trivia questions for seniors at Garvey Manor would be the perfect way to spread joy and cheer while also keeping everyone safe. Members were sent an email asking for volunteers to put a smile on someone’s face while asking, over video, a holiday trivia question.

Starting Nov 4, the student council members were all sent an email about an opportunity to participate in this act of kindness. If they showed interest they were sent a follow up email sharing with them what question they would be in charge of asking. They were also encouraged to dress up and decorate the background accordingly.

“This is a good activity for the residents at Garvey Manor because during the holidays the residents are feeling especially lonely,” student council adviser Jessica Hogan said.
