On Dec. 2, art teacher Kathryn Curry began a visual animal painting project.  This project was to make students perfect their lines and over all painting skills for art.

For this project, students must have a printed copy of a real life animal of their choosing with a three dimensional grid attached. This grid gives students a black and white viral reception of where to put their drawing. First students must draw their highest light source and so on. Thus each section of the animals has more than five colors to later paint.

“It’s fun to do but it’s a lot of work,” Ulana Fellabaum said.

This project it is a way for students to challenge their art skills and creativity. Many students have challenges with copying the exact picture onto a hard copy. However this project gives opportunities to better expand students art skills.
