Student Council volunteers wrap gifts for children at Jaffa Shrine

Student Council opens up opportunities to volunteers who enjoy helping the community and wrapping Christmas packages. The Jaffa shrine sponsors an annual Christmas gathering where dozens of the wrapped gifts are given to children. The volunteers are expected to be in the basement on Dec. 8 at 6 p.m.

“Helping people and bringing spirit is outstanding. Knowing that some kids won’t receive what they wish for on Christmas is upsetting. I enjoy giving people things they may not have. It creates spirit because it makes people happy when you give love,” freshman Ellaina Saylor said.

The Jaffa Shrine looks forward to groups of volunteers willing to help out with their community service efforts. Volunteers who signed up to help are expected to be there and ready to package gifts.
