Q: What college will you be attending?
A: Slippery Rock University

Q: Why did you decide to go there?
A: I kind of always wanted to go there but I just wasn’t really sure until I went and visited, and plus it’s far enough away I could live on campus.

Q: What are you majoring in or planning on studying in?
A: Bachelor in Fine Arts (BFA) with a concentration in photography.

Q: Will you be participating in sports/extracurricular activities?
A: No sports but maybe a club or something. I haven’t really decided yet.

Q: What excites you the most about college?
A: Being away from my family, and being on my own and figuring things out.

Q: Is there anything about college that intimidates you?
A: The classes. I am most nervous about how big the college is and if I will know where my classes are.

Q: What other colleges were you looking at as other options?
A: I was looking at Edinboro University, but it’s four hours away and I just didn’t want to be that far away.

Q: Why did you think this college was the best choice for you? What
about the school interested you?
A: It was a stressful process because going into the major I wanted, not many colleges have it so I had to look around for hours and when I found Slippery Rock, I knew my old softball coach used to go there for college and she said how awesome it was. When I went to visit, I just knew that I would want to go there because of all the security in the dorm rooms, the food, how pretty it looked and just the atmosphere.

Q: How do you feel about senior year ending so soon?
A: I am so excited but also sad because I’ve met some people this year and I wish I could’ve met them sooner, but I’m really excited for what the future holds and I can’t wait to start this new chapter in my life.

Q: What do you think will be the biggest difference between high
school and college?

A: In college, you have a lot more freedom, but there are more essays and speeches and more rules to follow.
