An astronomy club field trip will be held on March 17 from 3:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. Students will enjoy a sky show in the Planetarium right after school. They will then walk to the Altoona Railroaders Museum for a school tour until 5:00pm. Finally, students will walk to Greenbean coffee, and they will be given $5.

“I wanted to have a couple astronomy club activities in the spring because I know if we don’t do fun things we tend to lose a lot of good students. Also, since our college field trip to Penn State University fell through because Penn State couldn’t have us come up, I was looking for something simple and inexpensive and would still be a lot of fun for the students,” Krug said.

The trip will follow the school’s code of conduct.
