Why that branch?
They just had a lot of options to offer for me. It seemed like a better fit.
How long do you plan on serving?
Four years active, four years reserve, so eight years total
Do you have any plans on furthering your education during or after your service?
Yeah, they do offer payment for education, so I was planning on it. But it’s a lot to do school and the Army at the same time, so I’m thinking about it.
What are some things you’re excited/nervous about?
I’m definitely nervous to go down there, definitely a new environment. Definitely different from civilian life here. Definitely excited to meet new people and new experiences.
What does being in the military mean to you?
I have a lot of respect for those guys. I mean, they defend our country. They risk their lives every day for us to live here. It means a lot.
