Save the date! The PJAS regionals competition is on Saturday, Feb. 18 at Saint Francis University. Competitors will present their projects along with other students from Cambria, Somerset, Center and Bedford counties.

The Pennsylvania Junior Academy of Sciences (PJAS) regional competition will be on Saturday, Feb. 18 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Saint Francis University. Competitors created 10-minute presentations showcasing their experiment and/or research for the competition. Presentations were due by midnight on Tuesday, Jan. 31.

Physics teacher and PJAS adviser David Borst is grateful for the amount of interest this year.

“I’m glad we have 10 people competing, that’s the most we’ve had in a while. That’s the most we’ve had since COVID for sure. It’s good to be back to live presentations because for a couple years it was virtual, and it’s just not the same,” Borst said.
