Attention students: February marks the time of the year for Student Council’s annual Cereal
Drive. All boxes are donated to our local Saint Vincent DePaul food pantry. This is an easy way
to help support your local community, so make sure to bring in cereal throughout February
and drop them in the large bins located by the main entrance. Thank you.

Attention all Sophomores, Juniors and Seniors: Have you done any community service work
in the past year? Community Service performed for the school course doesn’t count. If so,
you could win $200 from The Challenge Program! We don’t have many applications yet so
don’t assume you have not done enough community service to win. Applications for the
Community Service awards are available outside the Guidance Office. Applications are due by
April 14 th .

Attention Seniors: On Friday, February 10 th during 1 st period, Provine will be here to take the
Class of 2023 Senior Group Photo. You will be called down to the Field House. Please check
your email in the next few days for more information. If you are interested in purchasing a
copy, envelopes will be available in your reporting room next week or outside of B120.

Attention Juniors and Seniors: Krispy Kreme Fundraiser forms to benefit the Class of 2023
and Class of 2024 are available outside of Mrs. Dumm’s room, B120. Please help support our
prom and other class activities. Order forms and money are due by Monday, February 13 th .

Attention Seniors looking for scholarship opportunities: You will find a new scholarship
opportunity in the literature rack outside of the Guidance Office starting today. The Altoona
Kiwanis Foundation Scholarship for students enrolling in Penn State Altoona has been
announced. To be considered for this scholarship, you must complete a one-page application
and submit it before March 31 st .

Attention AAHS Juniors taking the S.A.T. this Spring: Week #5 S.A.T. Math Practice is now
available online. A Math Practice Quiz and Answer Key have been downloaded along with
other important information about the S.A.T. and College Board. The first S.A.T. of 2023 is
March 11 th with a Registration Deadline of February 10th. Join the 140+ students that have
