Attention Junior Academy of Science Club Members: Our first club meeting will be held right after school TODAY in the Library. New people, just show up! We will be electing officers and planning for the year, so make every effort to attend. Think Science!

Do you like helping people while having fun? If you do, Key Club is for you! The first meeting is TODAY at 2:45 PM in Room A210. Bring a friend! Google Classroom code is: hgw6hi2

Attention 10th through 12th grade students: Did you pass Art 1 with a 93% or higher? Is your overall GPA above an 86%? If so, National Art Honor Society wants your membership! Applications can be found in the Art classrooms. Please see Mrs. Curry, Mr. Bowser or Mr. Hoover with any questions. Applications are due by September 29th.

Attention 9th Grade Students: Are you a high-achieving student with plans on attending post-secondary education? Will you be a first-generation college student or do you come from a low-income family? Do you have positive school behavior, a strong work ethic, and an excellent attendance record? If you answered YES to any of these questions, then Project SOAR may be for you! For more information, please check your email as soon as possible! Applications and information were sent to you on Friday, from Mrs. Dumm. The deadline to return applications is Thursday, September 28th.

Attention Juniors and Seniors: The Class of 2024 and The Class of 2025 will be holding their next fundraiser for prom! Marianna Hoagies order forms are available in your email and outside of Mrs. Dumm’s room in B120. Orders and money are due to Mrs. Dumm in B120 or Mr. Dumm in A208 no later than Friday, October 6th. Attention Students: The sign Language Club will meet on Thursday, September 21st in room B223 immediately after school until 4:15. We will be discussing an upcoming opportunity to sign with friends from the Sparkle Cheerleading Squad. Students with no experience can learn the basics of signing and those with more experience can practice signing together. Students will learn and use the manual alphabet (fingerspelling), numbers, and basic American Sign Language Vocabulary related to seasonal themes and interests. Please join the AAHS Sign Language Club Classroom with the code ty24kbp.

Attention Juniors: Just a reminder if you are interested in participating in the Career Shadowing opportunity, the application and parent consent form must be turned into the Guidance Office no later than this Friday, September 22nd.

Attention Seniors looking for scholarship opportunities: The Coca-Cola Scholars Foundation awarded over 6,750 scholarships last year totaling over $81 million in educational support. This year, applications are being accepted through October 2nd. Please stop by the literature rack outside of the Guidance office to pick up a packet of information.

Attention Astronomy Club: Don’t forget about this Thursday’s planning field trip, cookout, and observatory evening at Fort Roberdeau, as we pick our locations for the Haunted Fort in October. This Thursday, the buses will pick up at the Planetarium entrance at 4:00pm sharp; please be back to the Planetarium no later than 3:45pm. You may also just chill in the Planetarium after school if you prefer.

Please bring a jacket, comfortable shoes, and any snacks you would like. We will have a cookout after our trail walk, and visit the Mt. Lion Observatory with the Starlight Astronomy Club for some skywatching before we return to school at 8:00pm. Remember, this trip is only open to club members who turned in signed permission slips to Mr. Krug. See you then!
