With Homecoming season descending, the preparations are a go. During the week of Oct. 2 – 6, charity cans will be available during all lunches.
The charity chosen for this year is the Special Olympics/ Unified Schools.
“I chose Special Olympics/Unified Schools for Charity Cans because I believe in the importance of special education and making sure all students, regardless of their abilities, have equal opportunities,” Homecoming adviser Paige Matteson said. “It’s essential to create an inclusive environment where every student feels valued and supported. Special Olympics and Unified Schools promote that sense of inclusion, providing opportunities for students to connect, build friendships, and celebrate each other’s strengths. Creating these opportunities helps foster a stronger, more compassionate school community.”
Students can put money in any candidate’s can, but all funds will be donated together.
