Q: What grade are you in currently?
A: “Tenth.”
Q: Which subject is your favorite and why is it your favorite?
A: “English, because I really enjoy writing.”
Q: What made you want to get involved in writing for Horseshoe?
A: “I just always enjoyed writing… I spend most of my time outside of school writing as well. So it’s just a passion of love.”
Q: What’s your position on the Horseshoe staff?
A: “I’m on yearbook. I’m just a regular staff member. I just take pictures.”
Q: What is your main goal for when you get out of high school or just school in general?
A: “First, I want to go to college at Penn State, and I want to continue something that has to do with writing and photography. So I’m not too sure, but something in that area,”
Q: If given the opportunity to do extracurricular activities and have the free time you do now, what activities would you get involved in?
A: “I would probably join the foreign language club, and I can’t remember the name of this club, but it has something to do with writing.”
Q: What language, if any, are you interested in doing?
A: I did take Spanish. I enjoyed Spanish, but if I were to learn another language, it would probably be Japanese.”
Q: How do you feel about the school and students here?
A: “I love our school. I don’t really enjoy the people in it because I feel like nowadays, our school is so drama involved.”
Q: What do you like about the grunge and y2k styles?
A: “My sister, while I was growing up, she was super involved with the styles, and she liked to dress that way, so I think I just kind of adapted into that as well because she was so involved with that.”
Q: What do you think about lunch here at the school? And if given the chance, would you like to go out to get different kinds of food?
A: “I actually really enjoy lunch. But, if I was given the opportunity to go and get food somewhere else, I would take that opportunity as well.”
Q: At the junior high were you involved in any kind of yearbook or newswriting activities?
A: “I was in yearbook in eighth grade as well. With the teacher I had for yearbook, we kind of focused on self worth as well. It was like it was mostly yearbook, but she tried to incorporate teaching us empathy and all these other things.”
