Q: How do you balance your school work, tennis and Horseshoe?
A: “I’m actually really bad at balancing everything. Most of the time I procrastinate, and then I have to stay up pretty much all night to get everything done, especially during tennis season. Outside of tennis season, it’s a little bit better.”
Q: When did you realize you wanted to do tennis or when did you start playing tennis?
A: “My dad played tennis. My entire family plays tennis; I’ve been playing tennis since I was five.”
Q: What made you want to join the Horseshoe?
A: “My best friend Olivia McMinn, was the Editor in Chief last year, and I would always help her with the yearbook. And then Mrs. Vanish asked me to be the copy editor.”
Q: Where was your favorite place to travel to?
A: “I went to Africa this August. That was really cool. But my favorite place that I’ve ever been is Mexico.”
Q:What’s your favorite thing about being a copy editor?
A: “I’m really good at English, so I like correcting things, and that’s my entire job. So I have fun.”
Q: Do you want to go professional in tennis?
A: “No, no, no. It’s so hard to make it as a professional.”
Q: Do you have anyone who inspires you and who is it?
A: “My mom inspires me. She’s just good at everything.”
Q: What is your favorite book you’ve read?
A: “‘The Seven Husbands of Evelyn Hugo.’ It’s about a famous actor who kind of falls off the grid, and then she gives her life story to a random person that’s interviewing her. And yes, her life story of her seven husbands, and which one’s for true love.”
Q: What’s your favorite thing to do with your siblings?
A: “I like to go away. When we travel together; it’s a lot of fun.”
Q: Are there any other activities you would like to do in school and what are they?
A: “I think news writing would be fun if I could have done something else”
Q: What job do you want in the future and what college do you want to go to?
A: “I want to major in economics at the University of Miami or University of Florida. Not sure what job I want, though.”
