National School Counseling Week is a special week to focus public attention on the impact of school counselors within U.S. school systems. It recognizes school counselors who help students achieve school success and plan their future career. This year it is from Feb. 3 to Feb. 7.
“To promote our office, and what we do, we have a fun week of dress down days planned for students and staff to participate in,” guidance counselor Amanda Prosser said.
The week’s themes consist of: Monday wear something that sends a positive message, Tuesday match with your friend, Wednesday dress for success of your future career, Thursday wear your favorite college attire and Friday wear your Altoona attire.
The American School Counselor Association’s slogan is “School Counseling: Helping Students Thrive.”
