The Big Brothers Big Sisters of Blair County Students Mentors Achieving Results Together (SMART) will be starting in mid-October for high school students to mentor third through sixth-grade students at Penn Lincoln Elementary. This will be considered community service and will be a commitment.

“I can honestly say that BIGS and LITTLES both gain tremendously from the program. The BIGS and LITTLES form a strong bond,” guidance counselor Sue Fox said.

The SMART program is an asset to the school according to Fox because students learn how to help others and become an example for younger kids.
