“The Global Affairs class is for anyone in grades nine or ten, whether you plan to go directly into the workforce or to post-secondary training. The Introduction to Psychology class is primarily for students going on to college or some type of post-secondary training. Many colleges require an introductory course in psychology, and this would give students a head start. This course would be of interest to students who are interested in the functions of the brain, the various ways in which psychology impacts our daily lives and how modern medicine is being used to treat psychological problems,” social studies department head Kimberly Shope said.
