Cheer competitions get delayed

On Thursday, Dec. 10, Gov. Tom Wolf  suspended all extracurricular activities until after Jan. 4th due to Covid-19. This also affected cheerleaders, as district competition has been moved to early March.

“Since there’s no practice, I have more  time to focus on school. But since we  can’t practice, we may fall behind on  our routine. Stunts need to be practiced  as much as possible, but without the  opportunity of having practice, we can’t  hit those stunts. Counts or the dance may be forgotten as well,” junior Caleigh Rudy said.

As for now, athletes are expected to stay  inside and stay healthy in hopes to resume  sports for 2021.
