Dean speaks on her life of journalism
Journalism is important to junior Amy Dean; it may even be a career choice.
Dean has a lot of things she likes to do for fun.
“I like to go hangout with my friends, and I have eight siblings,” Dean said.
Dean completes many tasks for the yearbook.
“I like to go out and take pictures at sporting events and stuff,” Dean said.
Dean is happy how she started.
“I started my journalism my eighth grade year at a different school,” Dean said.
Dean has a love for journalism.
“I like going out and interviewing different people. I like writing stories, and then I like to create the mods. I love to take pictures at football games or basketball games,”
She dreams of becoming a journalist at Altoona.
“Yearbook and journalism has been something I wanted to do as a kid and once I had the opportunity in Altoona I took it, and I have loved yearbook and journalism for three years now,” Dean said.
Dean’s interests may take her in a different direction.
“I could see myself doing journalism, like in college, but I don’t think I’ll ever do that. I want to become a sign language interpreter for the deaf community,” Dean said.
Dean is already looking forward to her senior year. She is excited to be a leader to new people on the yearbook team. Dean is excited for her last year. Dean is ready for anything adviser Wanda Vanish throws at her, no matter what it is.
