Symphonic orchestra takes the stage
The Symphonic Orchestra, which includes band, orchestra and chorus, will perform their holiday concert on Friday, Dec. 9. It will be held in the high-school auditorium from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m.
“We still have some polishing to do, and it’s hard to get the two groups together as they are two classes, but come next week we will be ready. I am excited for the concert,” director Kelly Detwiler said.
This will be the first concert of the year for current orchestra students, grades 9-12. For some of the young musicians it will be their last holiday concert ever. Some of the songs will include renditions of “Oh Christmas Tree”, “Oh Holy Night” and more. Tickets will be sold at the door.
