Cookie Run: Kingdom is a fairly popular mobile game. CRK (Cookie Run: Kingdom) has many aspects that draw people to play it, such as the strategy part of the game. 

In CRK, characters will fight different battles. Players must create the teams and find the best strategy to win each round. Each cookie (character) has a different skill, type and cooldown. For example, players may want to add a healing type or a defense type cookie to a team if they run out of health easily. If they struggle with doing enough damage, a charge type or ambush type may be of more assistance. 

There are also toppings which players can equip to each cookie. They each have their own rarity and having a set of all of the same kind gives that cookie an effect that differs between each kind of topping. Players can then upgrade each topping 12 times. Each topping (depending on the level and the rarity) will bring a cookie’s power level up.

Another popular feature of the game is the cookies themselves. There are many different cookies players can collect throughout the game. These cookies can be bought from the “gacha” machine in the game. A pull for one cookie is 300 gems (in game currency), and a pull for 10 cookies is 3000.This will give players a chance of getting any cookies (unless stated that some are exempt.) There are different rarities of each cookie as well, which are (in order) common, rare, epic, super epic, legendary and ancient. Currently, the hardest to get is ancient, as there are only three that are available. 

Players don’t always get cookies from the gacha. It is much more common to get soulstones. Soulstones are used to get different cookies because once a player gets 20 soulstones for the same character, they are given that cookie immediately after. When players pull in the gacha, they get points they can use to buy a few things: cookie soulstones, timeskips, experience, etc. There is almost always a featured cookie, so if they pull for cookies on that gacha, there is a higher chance of getting that cookie.

Another thing to enjoy about the characters is the voice acting. Each character has its own voice and a few lines they can say.  Most characters will also appear in the game’s story mode. 

CRK is not the first game in the Cookie Run series. There are several other games that have been released throughout the years featuring many of the same cookies. CRK is the newest release in the series of games, therefore it gets updated quite frequently. Many characters from the older games will be brought over to CRK in a large update in which players will receive many rewards. New characters are also frequently created and then added. 

CRK also features cookie collabs with things that are extremely popular. Some of these collabs include Disney, Sonic and BTS. These cookies are only released for a limited time, so fans will count down the minutes until the next one of these collabs is released. Players will be able to keep most characters after the collab ends though they can never receive them again.

There is quite a large fanbase for CRK, especially in other parts of the world. CRK is made in Japan but is popular in other countries such as Korea, China and The United States. There are so many people who make money entirely from making videos about or playing CRK. A lot of players will post videos of themselves pulling a good cookie in the gacha, and it will get thousands of views.

The game’s developers, Devsisters, keep a very good watch on the game. If there is a bug or glitch, they will resolve it as soon as possible, and to apologize for the delay, they will give players gems. They are very generous with how many gems they give to them meaning  most players will be able to progress much further throughout the game because of this. The fanbase has collectively agreed to call these gems “Apologems.” These apologems are usually given when a new update comes out as there will be many bugs. This gives players a better chance of being able to get whatever new cookie was released.

CRK’s story mode is very well thought out, and there is a great amount of dialogue for players who wish to fully understand the story. For those who would rather continue through the game faster, there is almost always a “skip cutscene” button. This gives players the opportunity to choose which they would rather do. They can also replay most cutscenes any time that they wish. 

When players first download the game, it provides them with a thorough tutorial on how to play the game. This also appears whenever they unlock something new as they progress.  This is a helpful way for players to understand how the game works. 

Another main aspect of CRK is designing your kingdom. There are many different ways to customize, even down to the lawns surrounding each building. There are many different decorations that players can add to their kingdom. There are categories full of decorations and buildings, each with their own distinct style. There is something for everyone.
