APPLES festival to come
On March 25 the Appalachian Professional Language Educators’ Society (APPLES) festival will be held at Indiana University of Pennsylvania. Students in all levels of all languages were given the option to attend the festival. Students will compete in either academic or creative events depending on what they chose.
“It’s neat to see how students go from not knowing much about the language or the culture to now being able to apply themselves. It’s a reward for me to see how much they improve,” Spanish teacher Patricia Leonard said.
Students had to pay $5 in order to participate in the festival.
