Q: How long have you been swimming?

A: “I have been swimming for four years in high school, as well as a few when I was younger. “

Q: Why did you decide to join the team?

A: “I decided to join the swim team because of my friends wanting me to come swim, and also to swim like I did as a kid. “

Q: How do you feel about your senior season ending?

A: “I feel a little sad about my high school swimming career being over, but I am ready to move onto the next level and challenge myself for what is to come. “

Q: Are you going to college? If so, what do you plan to major in and will you continue swimming in college?

A: “I am going to college at Penn State: two years at the Altoona campus and two years at the main campus. I will continue swimming for Penn State Altoona’s team while studying computer science. “

Q: What is your favorite memory from swimming?

A: “My favorite memory from swimming would be the experiences with my teammates, whether it be practices or after meets. “

Q: What is/are your favorite event(s)?

A: “My favorite events are the distance events, which are the 200 and 500 yard freestyle. “

Q: Have you had any challenges or obstacles during your swimming career and how did you face them?

A: “I have had many challenges in swimming, such as being needed in other events for the team or even to score points when needed. I faced them by looking up to upperclassmen swimmers that taught me to be the swimmer I am today. “

Q: What is your advice for younger students on the team?

A: “My advice for younger swimmers would be to become a well-rounded swimmer. Be able to swim all strokes and all distances so that you can be a valuable asset to the team. Above all, be a strong, supportive teammate with lots of qualities, such as leadership and discipline.“
