S.A.D.D. (Students Against Destructive Decisions) is hosting Red Ribbon Week from Oct. 23 through Oct. 27.
“During Red Ribbon Week, we will have club members sitting in the cafeteria encouraging students to fill out the ‘Youth Drug-Free Pledge.’ We will have bracelets for students to take after filling out the pledge. We are also having a theme week for students, faculty, and staff to participate in,” adviser Megan Yingling said. “The purpose is to educate our students about the dangers of drug use and abuse and to spread the word to family and friends about the importance of being healthy and drug-free.”
The theme days will be as follows:
Monday wear a red shirt drug-free
Tuesday wear Hawaiian clothes
Wednesday wear neon clothes
Thursday school spirit wear
Friday wear a Halloween costume. Masks are not permitted to be worn on Friday.
