The National Art Honor Society will travel to the Corning Museum of Glass in Corning, New York on April 18. The trip will be all-day, as they will leave the school at 6 a.m. and will return around 6 p.m.
“The students get excited about it because it’s a chance to do something most people probably never consider doing,” club adviser Kathryn Curry said.
While at the museum, students will be shown the displays by a tour guide and will take part in making their own glass pieces. In the past, they’ve learned how to make flowers, suncatchers and more. This will be their first time going back to Corning since the pandemic.
