Beginning on Sept. 6, there will be new guidelines for home football games at Mansion Park Stadium.
These guidelines include:
- All students and accompanying parents/guardians are required to use the designated student entry at the Main Gate of the stadium. • Students in grades K-5 must to be accompanied by a parent, guardian or responsible adult for the entirety of the game.
- All students in grades 6-8 are required to present a school-issued ID and be accompanied by a parent, guardian, or responsible adult. Students are required to sit in the designated Junior High student section. This section will be monitored by adults. Students may sit with their parents or guardian for the entirety of the game. Parents are responsible for their student’s behavior.
- All students in grades 9-12 are required to present a school-issued ID and sit in the Home stands. Students are encouraged to sit in the designated Mt. Lion Maniacs student section or with their parents or guardians for the entirety of the game.
- NO BACKPACKS will be permitted in the stadium. All bags and belongings are subject to search and seizure.
- No loitering is permitted. Students/Spectators must sit in the stands. Aisles must be kept clear at all times. Congregating under the bleachers or around the concession areas will not be permitted. Standing along the field fence during the game is prohibited.
- There will be no walking around the outside of the field during the football game.
- Students/Spectators who throw food, drink, or other items will be immediately escorted from the stadium, will not be allowed re-admittance, and may be banned from the stadium for the remainder of the school year.
- Students/Spectators who refuse to comply with stadium officials’ directions will be immediately escorted from the stadium, will not be allowed re-admittance, and may be banned from the stadium for the remainder of the year.
“The Mansion Park Stadium guidelines are very similar to what was in place last year,” Community Relations Director Paula Foreman said. “These guidelines are not in place to restrict anyone’s ability to have a good time, rather they are in place to ensure all those in attendance can feel safe and have a fun experience cheering on the Mt. Lions as well as supporting our cheerleaders and band members. All students, grades 6-12, are required to present their student ID. Students in grades 6-8 need to be admitted with a parent/guardian. There are designated student sections for both the junior high students and the Mt. Lion Maniacs, so students can enjoy the game while being with their peers. All fans are expected to sit in the stands to enjoy the game and movement in and around the inside of the stadium will be limited to moving to the restroom or concession stands. We want everyone to have a positive experience and support our teams, athletes and band members. These guidelines help us do that.”
