Attention Students: The post-High School Opportunity Fair will be taking place in the AAHS fieldhouse on Tuesday, October 8 from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. in the evening. We have over 50 post-secondary options available for you to gain information and help with making your plan for your graduation. Juniors and Seniors will also be visiting the fair during their 5th period classes on Wednesday, October 9. We look forward to seeing you there!
Attention Seniors: Do you have what it takes to be a Lineman and work for an electric, cable TV, phone or fiber optic company? Global Power Line Academy is offering a 10-week training which will provide graduates of this program the ability to begin a career as an apprentice and work toward a journeyman classification. Stop by the literature rack outside of the guidance office to pick up a flyer with more information.
Attention Students: Would you like to become a Big Brother/Big Sister to a 3rd –5th grade Penn Lincoln student? Please come to an informational meeting tomorrow at 2:40 p.m. outside of the Guidance Office. Big Brothers/Big Sisters students will go to Penn Lincoln on Thursdays after school until 4:45 p.m. starting in mid to late October. This is a serious commitment and can be very rewarding. Attention Sophomores: Any 10 th grade student interested in attending a leadership workshop is invited to sign up for an interview for the nationally renowned Hugh O’Brien Youth Leadership seminar. Students who attend will be guided through three phases of leadership development – personal, group, and service. Students could earn college scholarships for being selected to attend this conference. The seminar this year is June 13 – June 15, 2025. Early bird cost is $300.
