The astronomy and foreign language club will be holding their annual Haunted Fort Roberdeau event on Oct. 19. Trick-or-treat will be held from 5-6:30 p.m., followed by the haunted trail from 7:30-9:30 p.m.. The Mountain Lion Observatory will be open to the public as well.
“I have always loved haunted houses and we love the fact that we can bring a little bit of haunted history to the area,” astronomy club adviser Jim Krug said. “It incorporates astronomy and foreign language club. It also allows us to raise money not only for the fort, but for the observatory. In terms of value, I think it is the best haunted house around; it is for young and old alike. I encourage everyone to come out for an evening you won’t forget.”
Parking will be available starting at 4:30 p.m.. The cost for the event will be $20 per carload, or $50 per busload.
