Art students create doves to honor students

Students in the art department have decided to create origami doves to honor the two students who recently passed away. The doves will be strung above the main entrance balcony next week. 

“I hope to see an overall sense of healing through this project to bring the school community together after such tragic losses,” art teacher Kathryn Curry said. 

Doves must be dropped off to B226 by Nov. 6 to be included in the display.

Hey! During my third year on staff, my senior year, I have taken on the role of being Editor in Chief for Mountain Echo. My sophomore and junior year, I served as associate editor. Outside of school I enjoy hanging out with my best friend, exercising, watching Netflix, photography and working as a lifeguard and teaching swim lessons at the YMCA. After high school I plan to pursue a medical path, with the intent of being a nurse practitioner. I'm looking forward to this school year and seeing what it brings our way!

This is my second year as a reporter on the Mountain Echo staff. I love to learn new things happening within our school while also getting to share that through the stories we write. Whenever I'm not working on the newspaper, you can find me at school events and games dancing with the Lioneers. I'm looking forward to starting my junior year and making new memories.
