From Nov. 1 to Nov. 5 Altoona students voted for President, Senator and House representative in a mock election presented by the Youth and Government Club. In total 598 students voted in the election.
Freshman cast the most votes (215), followed by seniors (144), then sophomores (131). Juniors had the lowest turn out (108).
In line with the political make-up of the Altoona area, the majority of votes cast in all the races were for Republicans. Trump won with 346 votes, Joyce won with 366 votes, and, in the tightest race, McCormick won with 309 votes.
