Members of the Black Student Union club will be traveling to Baker Mansion to view the Underground Railroad exhibit on Wednesday, Nov. 20. Students participating should meet outside of the Main Office by 12:30 p.m. to board the bus waiting by the junior high gym.
“I find the field trip beneficial for students trying to learn a little more about black history,” junior club member Julian Pringle said. “I think the re-introduction [of the club] from 2021 is beneficial because it provides students with a little black culture in the community and camaraderie surrounding black culture.”
The newly-opened exhibit is dedicated to African American heritage.
