The Twilight Race is a yearly tradition that takes place at Lakemont Park on New Year’s Eve. Additionally, for the first 700 people who sign up for the race they will be guaranteed a long sleeve t-shirt to spread the word about the race to attract more runners next year.
“I love doing this race just as a way to send off my year and to symbolize my running as well,” sophomore TJ Dunkle said.
There are three different races people can sign up for including the 5k run, 2k run, and 2k walk. Having a variety of races to choose from brings in a lot of people to give it a shot and end their year with a big bang.
