Junior Academy of Science goes to regionals

On Feb. 8, Junior Academy of Science will be having their regional competition at Saint Francis University.

“We’ll be bringing 15 kids who will be presenting their research that they have completed, “ Junior Academy of Science adviser David Borst said. “They compete against a rubric rather than other students.”

The outcome of this competition will determine whether or not the contestants make it to the state competition, which will be held at Penn State’s University Park campus.

All - State festivals to be held April 9 - 12
Glass from the past. The National Art Honors Society visits the Corning Museum of Glass in Corning, NY, in mid April and surveys this glass sculpture. The piece, "Nocturne 5", was created by Karen LaMonte and was inspired by her observations of the night sky as well as historical astronomy and piano compositions.
