The boy’s basketball team played against Harrisburg on Friday, Jan. 10 in the field house.
Junior Roan Greaser was on and off the court.
“I’m more of a defense player, so I’m more focused on that most of the time,” Greaser said. “I was just trying to stop their best players.”
The team watched the film of the previous game to prepare.
“Key strategies I use are having a pretty good, positive mindset and focusing on winning because it feels good,” Greaser said.
Greaser scored five points throughout the game.
Junior Parker White prepares at practice with the team each day.
“I expected aggressive defense and for them to be up in our faces,” White said. “They ran us up and down the court.”
Harrisburg scored 12 points right before half time, which gave them a leg up in the game.
“Even though we didn’t win, we had some big shots and nice defense towards the end of the game,” White said.
The final score was a loss 49-55.
The boys’ basketball team is coached by Doug Pfeffer.
“We have to play hard and play together for 32 minutes for us to be victorious,” Pfeffer said. “Also, we need to make open shots and put points on the board. Every game on our schedule is tough, but if we work hard and leave everything out on the court, I believe we can compete with anybody we play.”
