Swim team to compete at districts

PIAA District 6 swim districts will be held on Feb. 21 and 22 at McCoy Natatorium Penn State Aquatic Center in University Park, Pa. 

“I am very excited for districts,” head coach Brian Kephart said. “We are taking 11 girls and five boys this year. They have worked so hard and deserve a chance to showcase their talents at the district level. We all can’t wait for next week.”

16 swimmers will travel to State College to partake in this two-day event to wrap up their season.

All - State festivals to be held April 9 - 12
Glass from the past. The National Art Honors Society visits the Corning Museum of Glass in Corning, NY, in mid April and surveys this glass sculpture. The piece, "Nocturne 5", was created by Karen LaMonte and was inspired by her observations of the night sky as well as historical astronomy and piano compositions.

Hey! During my third year on staff, my senior year, I have taken on the role of being Editor in Chief for Mountain Echo. My sophomore and junior year, I served as associate editor. Outside of school I enjoy hanging out with my best friend, exercising, watching Netflix, photography and working as a lifeguard and teaching swim lessons at the YMCA. After high school I plan to pursue a medical path, with the intent of being a nurse practitioner. I’m looking forward to this school year and seeing what it brings our way!
