The book “On a Sunbeam” by Tillie Walden is a great book to read, and it is recommended to all romance and science fiction fans. This novel is a blast to read, and it is LGBTQ friendly.
I’m surprised I’ve just started reading this book after so long trying to read graphic novels, and it just never stops getting better. The book itself is a lovely story, with beautiful artwork and so much more. The read is long, and for those who enjoy reading graphic novels, I highly recommend it.
Readers that read the book need to pick it up because it’s a delightful story to read. The emotions felt when reading “On a Sunbeam” is a wild and vast ocean that couldn’t help but grow attached to this book, as I hope it does to readers.
The characters in the book are extremely smart and embark on a journey to an unknown place called “The Staircase.” They look for a character’s lover who lives in the staircase, and manage to take them with her. The crew themselves were on construction in space, and helped build up more of civilization. There is so much backstory behind everything including characters, places and the history of jobs. What makes this book so emotional is the amount of drama the relationships have. Plus all of the trouble that occurs creates an emotional bond with readers to help them fully understand the characters.
Something to tell the readers is that the artstyle is beautiful. The art makes the entire atmosphere of the book seem so sweet and calm, and there are so many cute things in the book.
The book relates to a lot of social trends like LGBTQ romance, construction and a bit of a high school sweetheart drama in the middle of it. The combination of all of these make a unique story of high school discipline with romance. The relation to real world problems to problems in this story also make it a rare one of a kind story of romance and space construction.
