FBLA to compete at States

FBLA States. These 9 students receive their plaques after Regionals at Saint Francis. This year’s Regionals took place on Jan. 14

On April. 6, students leave to go to the Future Business Leaders of America (FBLA) State Leadership Convention held in Hershey. 

9 students have advanced to states this year. These students include; seniors Charlie Kephart, Courtney Irwin, Haley Tanzi, juniors Mylin Betz, Kihlee Noel, sophomores Emily Ricketts, Gwendaline Garcia, freshman Andie Kephart and Trey Williamson. 

“I am very excited to be returning to the FBLA State Leadership Convention for the second year in a row,” senior vice president Charlie Kephart said. “Last year, I placed in the top 10, and I hope to do well again this year. I also hope that everyone else competing does well, and I can’t wait to see how everyone else does.”

The students will return on April. 9.

Glass from the past. The National Art Honors Society visits the Corning Museum of Glass in Corning, NY, in mid April and surveys this glass sculpture. The piece, "Nocturne 5", was created by Karen LaMonte and was inspired by her observations of the night sky as well as historical astronomy and piano compositions.
NAHS to take trip to Carnegie Museum
Sign up. Students can sign up for the blood drive in their homerooms. Students who are 16 years old need a permission slip signed.

After being a part of the Livewire staff last school year, I decided to join Mountain Echo for my freshman year. Outside of school I enjoy doing competitive weightlifting and spending time with my friends. I have been lifting for three years now and have competed in many national competitions all across the U.S. My future plans are to go to Penn State and become a physical therapist.
