CALLING ALL ARTISTS AND CREATIVE WRITERS: The deadline to submit your work to Et cetera, the high school’s Art & Literary Magazine, has been extended until the end of this week: April 4! Either email Mrs. Lowe or bring your work to A213. The student staff looks forward to seeing your creativity. Information about buying a copy of the magazine will be coming in May.
Attention students who applied to the GACTC for next year: The GACTC will be mailing letters to students on May 2 informing them of their acceptance, non-acceptance or if they are placed on a waitlist. Again, students will need to wait until they receive their letter to see if they are accepted to GACTC.
The second round of March Madness kicks off today, with Round of 32 action in both the El Dorado and Juniata Regions. Highlighting El Dorado is the final showdown of the Young Bucks, with 4-seed Jamaine Thomas and 5-seed Will Sankey vying to crash the Sweet Sixteen with the rest of the teachers. An intense 4-5 also highlights our Juniata Region where 4-seed Mr. Picciotti and 5-seed Mr. D’Angelo will finally learn whose flyers and mass e-mails were most persuasive. Point values are doubled for each Round of 32 game you
pick correctly, so don’t forget to vote!
Attention Astronomy Club and FLC: Permission slips and money for our Pittsburgh field trip are due no later than Thursday, April 10. However, the trip is filling up quickly. Ensure yourself one of the 50 spots by getting in those forms as soon as possible!
Key to Knowledge! Key Club is holding a new/lightly used Book Drive to collect books that need a new home. Time to clean your shelves and drop off your books to room A208 or outside the AAHS Main Office. The Book Drive will run through April 4. Every book makes a difference. Donate a book today!

Attention Seniors looking for scholarships: Please stop by the literature rack outside of the Guidance Office and pick up Thee Devon Pfirsching Scholarship Application. To be considered for this scholarship, you must participate in a sport and/or club activity and have an acceptance letter from a post-secondary educational institution. Deadline for applications is this Thursday, April 3 at 3 p.m., no exceptions.
