The Round of 32 ended with a bang, and some brackets didn’t survive the drama. In 5th Ward, Mr. Adams ensured 1-seeds remained undefeated, and will face 4-seed Mr. Wilt, whose cat pics resonated with voters. A 14-seed is crashing the Sweet Sixteen, as the Cinderella run of Mr. Dull 2.0 continues! He will face a dominant 2-seed in Mr. Saboe, who commanded a record 75% of history and dog-lovers alike. But the Dutch Hill region results shocked the community. Mrs. McAleer survived a close scare against colleague Mr. Rupeka. Her road gets no easier, as 4-seed Mrs. Kline awaits her. By our closest margin ever, Mr. Bennett edged out school mom Mrs. Cron 567-563. But could the Tech Department pull two upsets in a row? In a contest that left experts and music lovers stunned, Mr. Harpster ended the retirement victory tour of Mrs. Detwiler, upsetting the beloved 2-seed! A 6-10 Bennett-Harpster matchup is unprecedented, and will shake Tech Ed to its core. The Sweet Sixteen begins today, and point values for the Bracket Challenge are doubled. Starting today, you may add to your favorite team’s vote tallies at lunch, with $1.00 = 2 extra votes, and all proceeds donated to the Altoona Food Bank.
