The Sweet Sixteen opener is not what you’re expecting. But it’s spicy and dramatic, and you want to know about it anyway. 1-seed Mr. McKinney continued his strong campaign, advancing to the Elite Eight. If you see Senior Will Sankey in the halls, give him a fistbump for an amazing tournament run! McKinney will face fellow powerhouse 2-seed Mrs. Yingling for the El Dorado title, as Mrs. Ying reigned supreme in Phys Ed over her good friend Miss Buggey. But the Juniata Region got wild like an after-hours birthday party at the Spray Park. Mr. D’Angelo edged out top seed Mr. Marasco in the popular vote and donation vote, shocking the world as a 5-seed. He reaches the Elite Eight while Mr. Marasco can now focus his full energy on The Little Mermaid- which is amazing, and you should all go see it! With a Games Club divided, Mr. Harber vanquished Mr. Frailey with a Captain America Shield Throw to the Elite Eight. We now have a 5-6 D’Angelo Harber superhero battle to reach the Final Four. Students raised $127.00 for the Altoona Food Bank on day 1 alone! Vote extra for your favorite teachers today at lunch, and help those in need.
