Grand opening. The Center City Market officially opened in downtown Altoona on Tuesday, April 15. The marketplace offers an indoor food market and luxury apartments. The historic McCrory building in downtown Altoona was refurbished in a 2.5-year construction project aiming to bring life back to the downtown area.
