Mural Made up. Over the past two months Kathryn Curry orchestrated the painting of a new Mural for the A Building main stairwell. With the help of Deb Bunnell and her Art in Public Places students the mural was painted. “Valentine’s Day is a Friday we have in-service that day,” Curry said “because they need to put up Scaffolding in the stairwell to put that up; and then monday we have off so they have multiple days to do it. I’ve always loved to write, and after last year’s Intro to Pub class, it inspired me to join the newspaper staff. I am a junior here at the high school, and love to learn. Outside of school, I love to be active, from playing pickup basketball, to playing disc golf, and even doing some pickle balling. I also love music. My favorite artists are Tyler, The Creator, Frank Ocean, and Steve Lacy.

I’m a junior, I play basketball and I jump in track and field. I took Intro to Publications and really enjoyed writing about athletics and stories that came up throughout the year; so I joined Mountain Echo. If I’m not at school I’m probably with my friends, playing basketball, or sleeping while listening to music. I listen to all kinds of music but my favorite artists at the moment are Mac Miller and Frank Ocean.

I’ve always had a passion for writing so when I took Intro to Pub, It sparked a need to continue further. I decided to take yearbook and newspaper to spread my passion to the public. Other than writing, I also enjoy drawing, gaming, theater, and fashion. I participate in games club, drama club, and Friends of Rachel. With my addition to staff this year I hope to spread more creativity and joy.
