Senior Morgan Lindsey is planning to attend Penn State Altoona after graduation.  In this senior blog, Lindsey talks about her future at college.

Q: What college will you be attending?

A: Penn State Altoona

Q: Why did you decide to go there?

A: It’s close to home and that will make it an easier transition for me. I also chose it because they offer the 2+2 program so I will get to go up to University Park as well!

Q: What are you majoring in or planning on studying in?

A: Pre-Med

Q: Will you be participating in sports/extracurricular activities?

A: Definitely Blue and White Society and Thon. I will likely join others as well once I’m on campus.

Q: What excites you the most about college?

A: The freedom and not having classes all day, every day. Also, meeting new people and making new friends.

Q: Is there anything about college that intimidates you?

A: The workload scares me a little bit. It is a lot more than high school, so I need to make sure to stay on top of things.

Q: What other colleges were you looking at as other options?

A: Pitt Greensburg

Q: Why did you think this college was the best choice for you? What about the school interested you?

A: I chose Penn State ultimately because I have heard great things about their up and coming medical program. They also have a med school in Hershey that would be easy to move into once I graduate. My mom is an alumni of Penn State and I have always loved main campus, so I wanted to be able to experience something that my mom did.

Q: How do you feel about senior year ending so soon?

A: I’m scared, nervous, but also very excited. It’s coming to an end very quickly.

Q: What do you think will be the biggest difference between high school and college?

A: I think the biggest difference will be the attitudes of the other students. Maturity levels will be very different and hopefully there will be less petty drama. I also think professors also put a lot more trust into you than a high school teacher would, so you are given more freedoms and opportunities.
