Robert Wynn
Q: What is the best advice you have been given about teaching?
A: Patience.
Q: What made you want to teach at AAHS?
A: I left my other school that I was at for three years. I wanted to work in a bigger environment. I wanted to have a little more freedom.
Q: When was the moment you realized you wanted to be a teacher?
A: Probably since sixth grade. I am horrible at math, which is why I am an English teacher. I had a teacher in sixth grade who had me stay after school with him, for probably 45 minutes every day, just so I could actually pass.
Q: What is your favorite part of teaching so far?
A: So far, probably working with some of the kids. They say some of the funniest things, and it honestly impresses me what they know and how they think.
Q: Who inspired you to become a teacher?
A: Again, my sixth grade math teacher.
Q:What do you enjoy doing in your free time?
A: Typically, playing hockey.
Q:Why did you choose to teach the subject that you teach?
A: I knew I wanted to teach, and it was a subject I knew I was good at.
Q: As a teacher at a new school, do you feel that sense of nervousness you once felt as a student?
A: No, I mean, this is going to be my fourth year teaching. Not really nervous, just more of learning how to adapt to a new environment.
Q: Is there something else you want to do during your teaching career like coaching a sport or running a club?
A: I would love to coach again. I used to help coach track at Ligonier Valley. I haven’t coached in a little while, so I would like to do that.
Q: What college did you attend?
A: St. Vincent College.
