The Advanced Dance Class will be taking a trip Friday, Dec. 13 to the Mishler Theater. The class will be watching a performance of The Nutcracker, a fairy tale Christmas story told through dance and ballet.

“I absolutely love the Nutcracker so I’m very excited to see the classic ballet in our local Mishler Theater,” senior Madison Noel said.

Throughout the dance class the girls gain experience in every style. This includes ballet, jazz, tap, contemporary, lyrical, modern, hip-hop, ballroom, square, yoga and even Zumba.

“Personally, my favorite style of dance is hip-hop because it is completely different from the other styles and I enjoy it the most,” Noel said.

This class is aimed to expand experienced dancers genre and styles, while maintaining and improving the old. These dancers have been dancing for at least two years and still practice at their own studios as well.

“Advanced dance has helped me to expand my horizons and experience other styles that my peers enjoy as well as learn more about the styles that I already do,” Noel said.
