Announcements for 3/9

Students, the Principal team will begin conducting classroom checks looking for IDs and dress
code violations. Please be sure that you have your ID on at all times.

Our March Madness tournament has seen more giant slaying than Jack-and-the-Beanstalk,
as Pizza advanced as a 14-seed, and Mr. Bennett as a 12. Walking Tacos restored order in
their victory over Chicken Alfredo, while Mrs. Vanish now reigns supreme as Queen of the
English Department. Our final Round of 32 scores will be settled today. Will it be Mrs. Dumm
or Mrs. Falger emerging from the combustion of the Science Department? And after an
emotional win over her husband and upcoming Lady Lions playoff game on Friday, can
16-seed Mrs. Palfey keep her focus against Mr. D’Angelo? On the lunch half, can anyone
upset 1-seed Holiday Dinner, or 2-seed General Tso’s Chicken, or is their march to the Sweet
Sixteen inevitable? Let’s find out today at lunch!

Attention Students: After-school tutoring for today has been canceled.

Attention Juniors: Any junior interested in running as a Class of 2024 Senior Class Officer can
pick up an application outside of B120. Additionally, there is a mandatory meeting on
Wednesday, March 15 th at 7:00 AM in B120. Please check your email for more information.

Grab your piggy bank and drop some pennies! The week of March 13th until March 17th any
student or faculty member can donate an endless amount of money to the “Pennies for
Pets” fundraiser! Students can vote for their favorite dog or cat from the Central Pa Humane
Society as they are pictured on jars during each lunch period and before school. Every coin
donated will go straight to helping the humane society with the endless costs of our furry
friends. If you choose to donate $1 or more, write your name on a paw to be hung on the
bridge! As the totals add up, see how much your pet of choice earns using the daily total
meter before a check is presented to our local Humane Society! This is the time to donate to
a sweet cause and make a pet’s life even more special. Don’t forget your donations the week
of March 13th as you change lives one paw at a time!
