Seniors: If you sold items for Power House Subs for your AfterGlo, your order total form,
money and checks are due TOMORROW, April 13 th , by 2:45 PM in Mrs. Irwin’s classroom –
Room A334.
Attention 9 th Graders: Any 9 th grade student who maintains a B average, good attendance, and
is interested in becoming an AAHS Student Ambassador can pick up an application in the
guidance office. We are looking for students who are outgoing and would be a good
representation of our student body. If you have any questions, please see Mrs. Gardner in
A328. Application deadline is Friday, April 14 th .
An admissions counselor from Penn Highlands Healthcare will be in the cafeteria during
lunches tomorrow, Thursday, April 13 th . If you are planning to go into the healthcare field,
with an interest in anything from nursing to administration or housekeeping, please stop by
and visit to see what they have to offer.
Attention Athletes: Any athlete who was recently fitted for a varsity jacket can stop and pick
it up in the Equipment/Athletic Training Room any time between 8:30 and the end of each
school day.
Attention Seniors: Please stop by the Guidance Office for a new Scholarship opportunity.
Applications are now being accepted for the Kai Burkett Memorial Scholarship. You must have
a 3.5 GPA or higher, you must be an athlete and must engage in the great outdoors in some
fashion. Deadline is May 12 th .
The School of Pharmacy at Duquesne University is hosting its 6th annual Pharmacy
Exploration Day. High School freshmen through seniors are encouraged to attend this event if
they have an interest in chemistry, biology and/or math. Students will learn about a day-in-
the-life of a pharmacist and experience many hands-on activities that pharmacists conduct on
a regular basis. You are invited to spend ONE day during the week of June 19th through June
23rd. If you cannot attend any of these dates, there is also a virtual option on June 26th. This
Pharmacy Exploration Day is free to attend but seating is limited. Visit our website to find a
link to the flyer, or stop in the guidance office to pick up a copy.
Attention Seniors: You will find a new scholarship opportunity in the literature rack outside of
Guidance. The Senator Ted Kennedy Memorial Scholarship was created to assist a young
Democrat to work toward future goals. If you are 18 years old or older and a registered
Democrat in Blair County, stop by and pick up the application. Deadline is May 31 st .
