A: I feel very excited about running for Homecoming. It gives me the opportunity to represent something I love and believe in, as well as participating in activities throughout this week with my friends.

A: I have always wanted to run, to have amazing memories with my close friends, and to bring positivity to the school for my senior year.

A: I would like voters to know that if you vote for me, I will be very positive, as well as helpful to all of our school and community. I will represent myself, as well Sparkle Cheerleading very well. I want to bring more recognition to this amazing program that means so much to me.

A: I plan to fulfill my Homecoming royalty responsibilities by representing leadership to the school and promoting school spirit, as well as shining light on Sparkle and being a genuine person who treats everyone with the same amount of respect.

A: I decided to run for Homecoming because I have wanted to run since my freshman year after seeing all the previous Homecoming royals, and I wanted to represent girls soccer.

A: I want voters to know that if you vote for me I will try my hardest to set a good example for the underclassmen and represent AAHS the best that I can.

A: I feel nervous, scared, excited ⸺ basically every emotion. I mainly feel excited though, I get the experience to show AAHS who I am.

A: I decided to run for Homecoming because I wanted to represent the student body. I want to be a voice for the underrepresented demographics of our school.

A: I would want voters to know that I want everyone to feel represented.

A: I plan to fulfill my Homecoming royalty responsibilities by representing everyone in the student body from every demographic. I think everyone needs the opportunity to be represented in this school. If I were to become the Homecoming royal, I would make sure that everyone in AAHS feels included.

A: I want to make our school a comfortable and welcoming environment. By voting for me, I can continue to work at promoting inclusion and the importance of diversity in our school.

A: It’s all so much fun. Specifically, seeing all the different teams participating in the fun themes to ignite a sense of school spirit and of course the dance. 

Q: How do you feel about running for Homecoming?

A: I am very excited to be running for Homecoming. Seeing the variety of groups within the school come together for common goals, and one being to raise money for a local charity is beyond rewarding. 

Q: What made you decide to run for Homecoming?

A: I decided to run for Homecoming because I enjoy getting involved with numerous activities throughout the school. Gymnastics is a sport that does not get much representation and appreciation in our school, so by running I hope to get our name and reputation as an undefeated team out there. 

Q: Is there anything you want voters to know? 

A: I would like voters to know that no matter who you vote for, all candidates are amazing people and are all worthy of Homecoming royalty. This event is supposed to be fun and engaging to get the whole school involved and represent Altoona as a positive place, not harshly competitive or negative. You all serve a purpose in our school, and by using it responsibly we can all make this year the best year yet (especially for my fellow seniors).

A: I plan to fulfill my Homecoming royalty responsibilities by maintaining a positive attitude for those around me. In doing this, I can continue to be a role model for the underclassmen that are in need of guidance or even just a friendly face.

A: The best part of Homecoming week is going to have to be dressing up with my team. I’m so excited to see what we can pull together for the theme days.

A: I am excited and thankful to be running for Homecoming. If I were to tell my younger self that I’d be in this position my senior year, she’d think I’m lying.

A: I wanted to have the experience of running for Homecoming. Even if I don’t win, I can still say that I ran and had an amazing time doing so.

A: One thing I’d tell the voters is to vote for someone who you think deserves it. Whether that be your best friend, your friend’s friend, someone you don’t know too well, whoever. Don’t let other people tell you who to vote for if that’s not who you truly want to vote for.

A: I’m going to put 110% into everything that I do. I want this to be a fun experience, but I want to know that I actually put effort into winning.

A: I am excited to be running for Homecoming. It’s a lot of work but definitely something that is enjoyable and allows me to stay involved.

A: I plan to proudly represent our school by maintaining my responsibilities and employ the underclassmen to stay involved. I hope to model to student’s maintaining extracurriculars and academics is doable  as well as exciting.

A: I think the best part of Homecoming week is coming together with my team and working together to become one. Competing against others and showing that we can work together.

A: I feel excited and nervous. Excited because I never thought I would be in this position and nervous because there are twenty other amazing candidates running.

A: I decided to run for Homecoming because I thought to myself that I would never be able to run again for Homecoming and it would be amazing to say down the road that I ran for Homecoming.

A: My favorite part is taking part in all the themes. I always try to go out as much as I can with them and since I’m running this year I plan on taking the themes to a different level.

A: I’m pretty excited. I didn’t expect to get it but I’m excited that I have the opportunity to run.

A: It’s senior year and I’ve been on a team every year since freshman year and to have my own team made me really excited to have the opportunity to run.

A: Be fair towards everyone and make sure you do everything right and that I will represent AASD very well.

A: By doing everything I can the correct way and by making sure everything goes as planned during Homecoming and the weeks leading up to Homecoming.

A: I’m a good representation of the average student at Altoona. I’m not overly popular or well known, but I’m someone that tries their best and gets involved in school spirit. I’m in a lot of clubs and FBLA is my favorite.

A: I love the themes and think they are really fun to participate in. I think it is a good time and a good way to show school spirit.

A: It is a lot more work than expected and I have respect for all running. It’s a lot of work, but it’s a lot of fun.

A: I decided to run because I always thought the candidates in the past did a really good job of making me feel like I wanted to do just that.

A: Voters should know the candidates. If someone wants to come up and talk to me, I’m down to answer any questions. Just get to know who they are before you vote.

A: I’m currently working on everything I have to do to prepare for Homecoming and have been preparing for the past month to stay on top of it. I will be a good role model for the school in representing Altoona in a way that is favorable to those in and out of school.

A: I am so excited, I’ve actually wanted to run for a while and this gives me a chance to represent a club I’ve been a part of for a few years now and that makes me super happy.

A:The best part of homecoming week would be the planning and the dance, but I love the theme days and dressing up. The planning is definitely the best part because I get to come up with the outfits that I can wear.

A: I’m really excited about running for homecoming.  I’ve always wanted to do it since I was little because I would see the excitement from those who got crowned for queen/king.

A: I’m the 1st person to be a part of the Horseshoe Yearbook for all four years and I take pride in that. Yearbook is also something that is a big part of my life because it has opened my eyes in many aspects. When I found out I could run for the homecoming court I decided to go for it.

A: It’s good to be a good person. You never know what someone might be going through, so just a small act of kindness can make someone’s day. If you ever need someone to talk to about anything I am here. It can be hard to reach out to someone that you know, so I can be that someone for you.

A: I will represent my school well and become a role model to the younger students that attend AAHS. I also hope that students will see what it’s like to be a good person because I feel that there can be teenagers/students that don’t set good examples or have good morals.

A: Last year I was on a team and thought it was really cool and fun. But I began wondering what would happen if I would run and now I’m a candidate.

A: There are a lot of people running but everybody is different. Homecoming can be stressful, but it is also a whole lot of fun. Everyone is putting in a whole lot of effort and it is crazy. We care a lot about this.

A: I am very excited about running for Homecoming. It is a great opportunity to be involved, show school spirit, and make a positive impact on the student body.

A: I decided to run for Homecoming because I wanted to be more involved in school activities and make an overall impact. It’s a chance to show my school spirit, meet new people, and contribute to the community. I also love the energy and excitement that comes with Homecoming week.

A: I would like my homecoming voters to know that I am passionate about representing them and the school. I am dedicated to bringing new ideas, fostering inclusivity, and creating a memorable homecoming experience and school year for everyone.

A: I love watching everyone’s skits. We put so much work into them, and it is fun to see the energy and humor put into them.

A: It’s a lot of work, but it’s fun. Making skits, dressing up, playing minute -to – win it games, it’s all a blast.

A: My freshman year, I watched my friend Emily Grace run and loved the whole process.

A: I am involved in multiple clubs at the school and am friends with many of the candidates. This whole process was really fun, but I know that if I don’t win, other deserving candidates did.

A: I will stay involved in the school, and focus on completing more community service projects.
