ANNOUNCEMENTS FOR TUESDAY, DECEMBER 5, 2023
Attention Students: If you have ever thought about enlisting in the Air Force, then
you will want to visit with a rep on Wednesday, December 6 th during lunch periods.
Attention Junior Academy of Science Club Members: We will be holding a
meeting for anyone who is considering competing on Thursday afternoon in the library
at 2:45 pm. We will meet in the computer lab to discuss competition and prepare you
to start your projects. Hope to see you then! Think Science!
Attention FBLA Members: There will be a brief meeting in Mr. Kings room, B126,
Thursday, December 7 th at 2:45. All members are expected to attend the meeting to
go over studying procedures for your competitive event tests in January. Please make
every effort to attend.
Attention students looking for a career: Students look no further than our next
door neighbor, the Greater Altoona Career and Technology Center! Plan to attend
their Open House Tuesday, December 5 th anytime between 5 and 7pm. Don’t miss out
on the fantastic opportunity to see as many programs as you like and speak to
students who can give you the inside scoop!
Attention all current and previous biology students: Have you ever wanted to
travel to the Galapagos Islands? Have you ever wanted to see giant tortoises and
marine iguanas, or swim with sea lions and Galapagos penguins? If so, join our
Google Classroom for more information on this trip of a lifetime coming in June of

Attention Seniors: The FAFSA will be available to complete on December 31.
Remember…parents can still sign up for the FAFSA workshop that we are having here
in our school’s library on January 29 th See your counselor if you have any questions.
Attention Seniors: The Epilepsy Association of Western and Central PA is offering
10 scholarships totaling $11,500 for graduating seniors going to college or vocational
training. You must have a diagnosis of epilepsy/seizure disorder from a physician.
Please stop by the guidance office literature rack to pick up more information about
these scholarships! Deadline is April 1 st , no exceptions!
