Attention Seniors: If you have participated in at least one sport each school year
between 9th and 12th Grades and have a GPA of 90% or higher, stop by the literature
rack outside of Guidance to pick up the William R. Sankey Memorial Scholarship
Application. Applications must be submitted to the Guidance office by 2:40 pm
on Monday, May 6th.
Seniors Who are Planning on Attending AfterGlo: Please check your email about
requesting AfterGlo tickets. The last day to request an AfterGlo ticket will be

attend AAHS are due by this Friday, May 3 rd .
Attention students: GSA Hearts for Love club will be selling kandi bracelets during
lunches May 1 st through May 3 rd . You can buy premade or customized bracelets for
yourself and your BFFs. Prices range from $2.00 to $3.50. We appreciate your
support!
Attention Seniors: A representative from Penn Highlands is making a second visit
during lunches today to answer any questions you may have about this local
community college. Plan to stop by her table today during lunch.
Attention Students: The Altoona Beauty School is having an Open House this
Saturday, May 4 th from 10am-1pm. This is a great opportunity for anyone interested in
cosmetology.
Mrs. Kelly's Freshman Seminar students are joining forces with
Mrs. Hetrick's Freshman Seminar to collect some wish list items for the
Mending Hearts Animal Rescue through the end of the day today.
If you prefer to make a monetary donation, Mrs. Kelly will be shopping at Petco to
purchase supplies, as well. Mending Hearts will be stopping in this Friday to pick up
these items. Let's make this a successful collection for their animal rescue! Thank you
for your support!
Attention Sophomores and Juniors: Are you interested in being a member of the
Junior/Senior Executive Committee next school year? If so, please make sure to
complete the application sent to your email. Paper copies an be found outside of
Mrs. Dumm’s Room. Please be aware that only a limited number of students will be
accepted. As a member, you must participate in all meetings, fundraisers, and other
activities. If you do not participate, you will be removed from the committee.
Applications are due by Friday, May 24 th to Mrs. Dumm in B120.
