Jazzmine McCauley is a senior this year and will be going to Penn State Altoona.

Welcome to my first blog featuring senior students every week to find out what their futures will look like. This will be a way for students to discover what their peer’s plans are after high school. Come back Tuesdays and Thursdays to see new featured seniors.

This week’s featured senior student is Jazzmine McCauley. Find out more about McCauley in the Q&A below.

Q: What college are you going to?

A: I am going to Penn State Altoona.

Q: Why did you choose to go to Penn State Altoona?

A: Penn State offers a lot of opportunities for me and my future career! Why I chose the Altoona campus is because I will be going to law school after I get my undergraduate degree in criminal justice, so I wanted to save money.

Q: What are you majoring in or planning on studying at Penn State Altoona?

A: My major is criminal justice bachelor of science.

Q: What are you most excited for?

A: I’m ready for the next chapter. I’m excited for the new memories I’m going to make and the experiences I’m going to have. I also can’t wait to have more of a free schedule with my classes.

Q: What other colleges were you looking at as other options?

A: I was looking at Robert Morris University and the University of Louisville.

Q: In your opinion, how will the transition go from high school to college for you?

A: I think the transition will be easy.

Q: What steps have you taken or are currently taking to have a successful time in college?

A: I’ve already participated in clubs that will help me in my future career. Now, I’m just completing my placement tests and keeping up with tasks that need to be completed before college starts.

Q: Describe your senior year in three words.

A: Lots of memories!

Q: What is one thing you will miss about high school?

A: I’m going to miss all of my music classes
